The Skills
RP Skill: As she left the hospital for the day, Dawn felt something reaching out to her, a feeling of longing. Absentmindedly, she touched the Cupid's ring on her finger as she reshouldered her bag. Moving away from the building, Dawn could feel it become stronger as it started to pull at her heart. She immediately knew what it was: a mutual, unidentified love crying out to be recognized from across the city. Ducking behind a dumpster, Dawn concentrated on the desire and squeezed her eyes shut; when she opened them, she found herself in the park, standing behind a shady tree. The feeling was so intense here that it was almost overwhelming.
Peeking around the tree, she saw them: a girl and a guy in their early twenties sitting awkwardly side-by-side on a park bench, saying something every few seconds to each other, but it didn't seem like they were talking about anything in particular. Dawn spotted another bench close to her tree and casually walked over to it, her eyes flickering to the two occasionally. She sat down as if she was waiting for someone, trying not to attract any attention. Thousands of hearts cried out to her from all over the city, but there would be time for them later, she had always had a soft spot for mutual attractions between friends, and helping them become realized was always felt rewarding.
People walked by, not even looking at Dawn a second time. She smiled to herself as she noticed out of the corner of her eye that the two of them reached for something and jerk back in surprise when their hands brushed against each other. The girl smiled nervously at the guy, who smiled shyly back. They were then silent and stared off in different directions. Dawn sat up a little straighter on her bench - it had been the moment she'd been waiting for. Everything else in the park suddenly slowed down as Dawn casually reached her hands up to run them, seemingly, through her hair. As she focused on trying to get the two across from her to think about how much they liked each other, her ring began to glow a soft pink. A familiar feeling crept up from her heart. Exploding from the ring, a beam of glitterly pink smoke soared out and floated towards the girl and the guy, settling over their heads like a cloud before dropping slowly on them like snow.
All of a sudden, the two nervously exclaimed something simultaneously as Dawn brought her hands back down to her lap and time sped back up. She grinned at the looks on their faces when they realized what the other had said. As they began to suddenly chatter excitedly, Dawn giggled softly to herself before she faded away to pink, leaving only a pink heart floating mid air in the place where she had just sat that eventually disappeared after her.
